About 21 ladies competed for a parking spot and bragging rights at the 108 Mile Golf Resort during the golf club’s Ladies Club Championship on Sept. 8 and 9.
“The weather was great. It held out really well for us,” said club captain Annie McKave. “Everyone had a really good time. We finished off the day with a buffet lunch up at The Hanger.”
McKave said the course was also great to play in and was in “incredible shape” and “probably the best it has been in years.”
The 21 ladies who came to compete is a little lower than usual, with an average of 25 coming out to play in past years. McKave wasn’t sure why it was lower but cited that the club’s membership isn’t as high as it was last year.
She was also the overall gross winner of the tournament.
