Kevin Maxwell and Matt Matheson did their best to chase down the leaders, but wound up three strokes out of top spot at the PGA of B.C. Pro-Assistant Golf Championship in Kelowna.
Maxwell, head professional at Olympic View Golf Club, and assistant pro Matheson followed up their combined score of 65 on Monday with a 62 in Tuesday’s scramble-format round. Their 127 left them in fourth spot, one shot out of a second-place tie that included the team of Jim Cook and Edd Boudreau (66-60) of Gorge Vale.
Russ Latimer and Tyrel Griffith of the host Black Mountain Golf Club won with a 124 total.
