The Grey Cup along with three members of the champion B.C. Lions are visiting KVR School.

Lion’s fans will get to see the Canadian Football League’s championship trophy first-hand and meet Geroy Simon, Angus Reid and J.R. LaRose from 9 to 10 a.m. on Feb. 1.

The Lions captured the 99th Grey Cup against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Nov. 27 in front of over 54,000 fans with quarterback Travis Lulay putting in an MVP performance. He completed 21 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-23 win. Simon finished the game with four catches for 79 yards. It was an incredible finish for the Lions, who started the year going 0-5 then won 13 of their next 15 games.

The Lion’s website states that more than 20 stops will be made in 16 communities as part of a province-wide tour that begins in Coquitlam on Sunday. Fans are encouraged to post their photos on yourcup.ca. The Grey Cup will stop in Kelowna on Jan. 31 then heads to Vernon and Kamloops.

“The Grey Cup has long been known as the ‘people’s cup’ and it is with tremendous pride that we embark on this province-wide tour,” said Lions president and CEO Dennis Skulsky to Lions.com. “As six-time Grey Cup champions coming off an emotional title win at home for the second time in franchise history, this tour celebrates what the BC Lions value most, the support of fans across this great province. The BC Lions are grateful for the participation of the Province of British Columbia in helping to make this tour possible.”
