The GW Graham Grizzlies wrapped up an unbeaten regular season Friday night with a 26-20 road win over the Robert Bateman Timberwolves.
Around the same time, the team got great news on the all-star front, landing nine players on the Eastern conference squad.
Four members of the GWG offence got the nod, led by running back Jaiden Claassen.
In three games, the senior carried 53 times for 467 yards and four touchdowns.
Vince Ibardolaza paved the way for many of Claassen’s runs and locked down an all-star spot on the offensive line.
GWG landed two receivers on the all-star squad, with Jett Thomas and Colby Bessette earning selections.
In four games, Thomas caught 15 balls for 222 yards while had nine for 102 yards and a TD.
Grayson Frick took the Grade 11 spot at QB.
On the other side of the ball, the Grizzlies had four defensive all-stars.
Mason ‘Mountain’ Murphy was an overwhelming physical force on the line, making life miserable for opposing QBs and running backs.
Daniel King and his 28 tackles got the nod at linebacker and GWG defensive backs Colton Holt and Liam Dallas earned selections.
The Langley Saints had the most all-stars with nine, including offensive MVP Kai Thomas.
The Holy Cross Crusaders had five, including defensive MVP Uyi Ologhola.
Robert Bateman had four.
