Eleven Okanagan Gymnastics Centre trampoline athletes—with five of them competing for Team B.C.—came home with a healthy medal haul from the Western Canada Cup in Calgary.
Competing for the provincial squad., Carter Calvert became the Level 4 trampoline champion helping Team B.C. finish first in the team trampoline event.
Also competing for Team B.C, Madison Eagle earned two gold medals and the title of Western champion in the Level 4 double mini trampoline and also in the Level 2 tumbling event.
Janiah Harris tied for first place with Eagle in the Level 2 tumbling event and finished in third place in Level 4 trampoline.
Vanna Harris earned the silver medal in Level 4 double mini trampoline.
Taylor Pillinger finished with a silver medal in the Level 3 double mini event. She also finished 6th place overall in the all around. Athletes are only eligible for the all around if they compete in all three events, trampoline, double mini trampoline and tumbling. Some athletes specialize on events and do not participate in all three.
Team B.C. finished as second place team in double mini trampoline, tumbling and all around.
Competing for Okanagan Gymnastics Centre, Nate Banner and Ethan Scott finished with the gold medal in the Level 1 synchronized trampoline event. Banner was also champion in the Individual Level 1 trampoline competition.
Max Vandenberg won gold in the Level 3 trampoline event.
Taya Lawless took first place and is the champion in the Women’s Level 4 trampoline event.
Ally Wyllie earned two bronze medals in the Level 3 trampoline event and double mini trampoline event.
Ella Law’s top finish was 4th in the Level 1 double mini trampoline.
