Scott Hargrove returned to Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup racing with a dominate performance in Toronto.
Racing in the third race of the series Saturday during the Molson Indy weekend, the Surrey driver led from start to finish for the win.
“I’m thrilled with the result,” Hargrove said. “The OpenRoad Racing Porsche was phenomenal. I’m just super-excited to be back here racing Porsches again.”
Hargrove won six of 10 races to win the Platinum Cup as series champion a year ago, but missed the first two races of this season.
The fourth race of the series was Sunday, also in Toronto, and Hargrove placed second to rookie Daniel Morad. The runner-up finish lifted Hargrove into sixth place in the series standings.
