Vancouver Island’s top pro wrestlers will step into the squared circle trying to not only win their matches, but also help fill up food bank shelves.
VIPW is putting on its annual Headlocks for Hunger card on Saturday, Nov. 23, at Beban Park.
“Catch all of the hard-hitting, high-flying, keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat action when VIPW returns once again to rock the roof off the Centennial Building,” notes an event press release.
Headlining the card is a match between Cremator Von Slasher and ‘Mr. Beefy Goodness’ Vance Nevada.
The VIPW women’s championship will be on the line with Bambi Hall defending against Sloan.
Also, Riea Von Slasher will take on Jordie Taylor, and B.J. Laredo will issue an open challenge to any opponent willing to step up.
Admission is $10 in advance at Centre Court Collectibles, That 50’s Barbershop or online and $15 at the door. Front-row seats are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Kids five and under get in free with a paying adult. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the first match at 7 p.m.
Anyone who brings a non-perishable food item receives a ticket for a prize draw and those who bring five or more items will get an arm’s length of tickets.
