On June 4, the bantam advanced Heat swept North Okanagan in a pair of games, 8-5 and 8-1. Heat coach Del Halladay said the team is playing well.

“We are playing very defensively, including the play of our goaltender Tanner Johnson,” said Halladay. “Defence has been our strength the whole season.”

The pair of games concluded their regular season, in which they won six games, lost four and tied one, putting them in second behind Kamloops. Halladay said the Heat have a good shot of going to provincials as it is expected Kamloops to declare A1 and the Heat will go A2.
