The grandparents of Aeson Mason receive a cheque for $3,000 from the Sheila Bishop Memorial Wooden tournament

HELPING AESON — Vikki Gowan, organizer of the Sheila Bishop Memorial Wooden Bat tournament, presented a cheque along with her Musty Mitts team for $3,000 to Noe and Ana Mungia, the grandparents of Aeson Mason, who is in Vancouver for cancer treatments with her parents.

HELPING AESON — Vikki Gowan, organizer of the Sheila Bishop Memorial Wooden Bat tournament, presented a cheque along with her Musty Mitts team for $3,000 to Noe and Ana Mungia, the grandparents of Aeson Mason, who is in Vancouver for cancer treatments with her parents.

The Sheila Bishop Memorial Wooden Bat tournament raised $3,000 Aeson Mason. The tournament organizers thanked the umpires for donating their time, as well as Peachfest for its support and local businesses who donated items for the cause. Winners of the A side were Stix and Pucks who defeated Jacks and Jills, and in the B side, Pitch Slap defeated Team Canada. All the teams in the finals donated the prize money back to the tournament.
