Nanaimo high schools were well-represented at provincial championships earlier this month in Burnaby, and three girls are B.C. champs.
Julina Benjamin of Nanaimo District Secondary School is the all-around champion in Level 5 after taking first on the balance beam, first for her floor routine and second on the uneven bars.
Brianna Rapanos of Dover Bay Secondary School took first place on bars among Level 3 girls and was third on the floor and second all-around, and Terilyn Ewen-Holdom of Wellington claimed first for her floor routine in Level 4 and was second on the bars.
Also at provincials, Dover’s Rachel Zuccaro, Ashleigh O’Donnell and Savannah Rathy all placed second on the floor in their respective divisions.
The B.C. high school championships were held March 10-12 at Moscrop Secondary School.
