Penticton Secondary School’s track and field team is growing.

Three years ago, the school had just four athletes attend the South Central Zone and Okanagan Valley track and field meets. This season more than 20 athletes attended the meets in Kelowna and Kamloops to represent Pen High.

Penticton had four athletes qualify to advance to Track and Field Provincial Championship in Langley, including Emmy Caruso, Isaiah Collins, Annabella Nordlund and Miklas Perl.

Caruso, who qualified for senior girls 100m dash, 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles, and Collins, who qualified for junior boys discus, javelin and shot put, will both be returning to provincials for the second year in a row. Nordlund and Perl are distance athletes.
