Williams Lake’s own Brock Hoyer competes in the ESPN Winter X Games in Colorado this afternoon.
Hoyer looks forward to competing once more in the prestigious event and aims to reclaim the gold after winning silver in 2018. Despite the small amount of snow received at lower elevations this year, Hoyer has been out hitting the trails, training and eating healthier in preparation for this afternoon.

He’ll be racing in the Snowbike Cross finals around 2 p.m. mountain time and Hoyer said that he’s never felt better going into a race.
Community members are invited to a viewing party of the event in support of Hoyer that is being held at Spectra Power Sports. There they plan to set up a big screen that will broadcast the race in their showroom for all to see.
