Ice in tough at provincials

The Isfeld Ice senior girls soccer team went 2-3 at the provincial championships in Kamloops, finishing 14th among the 16 teams.

The Isfeld Ice senior girls soccer team went 2-3 at the provincial championships in Kamloops, finishing 14th among the 16 teams.

The girls kicked off the competition Thursday with a 1-0 win over Collingwood, an independent school in West Vancouver. Later in the day, they lost 2-1 to Pitt Meadows.

On Friday, the Ice lost 2-1 to College Heights of Prince George. They rebounded with a 3-0, semi-final victory over JL Crowe of Trail.

On Saturday, Isfeld lost the 13/14 match 5-4 to Okanagan Mission.

Olivia Sellentin of Isfeld was selected MVP of the Ice.

St. Michael’s University School of Victoria won the tournament. Carihi of Campbell River won three games and lost two for a ninth-place finish.
