Langford, region opens its arms to top womens teams in two weeks

It seems just a couple of months ago that Langford welcomed the women’s rugby world to town.

The 2016 Summer Olympics-bound Canada women’s sevens squad is hard at work preparing again for the World Rugby Canada Women Sevens tournament, which takes over Westhills Stadium, April 16 and 17.

The Canada Maple Leafs red team are coming off a 17-5 win over France in  last month’s Vancouver Rugby Fest elite women’s final. Maple Leafs white   finished fourth in the tournament.
