Jay Scott fires low gross

Close to 60 golfers out for weekly round at 108 Golf Resort

Members got one last tune-up on Aug. 13 ahead of the 108 Men’s Club Championship at the 108 Golf Resort, Aug. 16-17.

Fifty-nine golfers hit the links, where low gross, low net, deuces, closest-to-the-pin and long drives were recorded during the weekly round.

Jay Scott (35) and Matt McNeil (37) scored low gross in the first flight, while Bill Baerg (34) and Dean McNeil (34) fired low net.

In the second flight, Greg Aiken (39) scored low gross, followed by Ervin Hannah (44). Larry Van Drimmelen (35) recorded low net in that flight, followed by Bob Weiduwilt (38).

Steve Randall (39) and Steve Brown (42) shot low gross in the third flight, while Keith Pearson (33) and Marvin Declare (34) scored low net.

The fourth flight saw Ron Thurston (47) and Peter Messner (48) with low gross scores, and Terry Barrick (33) and Larry Watrich (34) with low net.

Scott ripped the longest drive on No. 2, Weiduwilt on No. 7, Steve Brown on No. 3 and Doug Johnston on No. 1.

Closest-to-the-pin shooters were James Seeley on No. 8; Ron Vandermay on No. 4; Declare on No. 5; and Dean McNabb on No. 7.

Al Sidor and Scott scored deuces in the first flight, and Pearson and Steve Randell dropped deuces in the third flight.
