In a field of more than 115 runners, 15-year-old Chantel Jeffrey was the top female runner in the inaugural Fresh Air Hard Knox Challenge last weekend. The 12-kilometre course weaved its way through the streets of Kelowna, along some of the city’s multi-use pathways and up a gruelling portion of Knox Mountain Park. Jeffrey completed the course in 53:49.0. In the 740-metre Knox Grind Trail, Timothy Mundall was the series’ second fastest climber.
