Joel Waterman: On Team BC for Canada Summer Games

Joel Waterman of Aldergrove is one of three Langley United Soccer boys who will be playing in the big leagues this summer.

Joel Waterman of Aldergrove is one of two Langley United Soccer boys who will be playing for Team B.C. this summer.

Graham Kasper and Joel Waterman have been selected to B.C.’s Canada Games team and will be going to Montreal August 10-18 to play.

Waterman is a 17 year old who has shown outstanding talent on both the Aldergrove Secondary boys soccer team and the High Performance League team in Surrey.

It will be his second foray into the national level, as he was picked for the B.C. U-13 team prior to high school. He is going into grade 12 this September at Aldergrove.

Wterman earned his way onto the B.C. team with his performances at tournaments this past month in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. He made the final cut on the 18-man team headed for Montreal, where they will play Quebec and Manitoba in the first pool.
