Brody Eastwood is amongst the most talented and driven junior lacrosse players going. Jesse King is the same, but bigger.
But there’s something about the Coquitlam Jr. Adanacs, which continue to win B.C. junior A box lacrosse championships and graduate top draft picks into the pro ranks of the game.
Eastwood, who captains the Victoria Jr. A Shamrocks, and King, the Rocks’ top transition man, are in a week-long conundrum. Down 2-0 in the best-of-five B.C. Junior Lacrosse League semifinal series to the Ads, the Jr. Rocks need to win three straight to advance to the final.
The Adanacs won 13-8 in Coquitlam on Saturday and 13-6 on Sunday at Bear Mountain Arena. Game 3 goes Saturday in Coquitlam at 3 p.m. A win for the Rocks brings the series back to Bear Mountain Arena on Sunday at 5 p.m.
In the past four years the Shamrocks have been eliminated in the playoffs once to the Adanacs and three times to the New West Salmonbellies.
