The Langley Junior Blaze put up 30 runs as they swept a doubleheader against the Coquitlam Redlegs.
The U16 Blaze won 11-1 and 19-3 on Sunday (June 1) at Coquitlam’s Mundy Park to improve to 17-1 in the B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League.
In the opener, Langley scored eight times in the top of the first inning en route to the 11-1 win.
Matthew Poirier allowed just three hits over the five innings for the win while Quintin Nakamura, Jesse Unger and Cole Cantelon drove in two runs apiece.
Game two saw Cantelon drive in three more runs in the 19-3 rout, while Yi-An Pan and Markus Gregson had two RBIs apiece.
Jake Polancic struck out five over five innings for the win.
Langley hosts the White Rock Junior Tritons (8-9) on June 4 at McLeod Park before also hosting four games against the Okanagan Junior Athletics (3-12) on June 7 and 8.
