Matt Hamilton scored five goals and added an assist as the Victoria Junior Shamrocks came from behind to beat the Thunder 10-6 in season-opening B.C. Lacrosse Association play on Sunday in Langley.
The home team led 3-1 after one, but the ‘Rocks made it a 5-5 game after two periods. Goalie Ryley Brown shut the door on the Thunder in the third. Max Fredrickson had a goal and four assists for the winners, Ryan Lewis and Darren Bourret had a goal and three assists each and Karver Everson had two goals and an assist.
The Shamrocks play their home opener Saturday (May 3) at 5 p.m. against the Coquitlam Adanacs in the Q Centre.
