The Langley Junior Thunder ran out of time as they attempted to rally from a third-period deficit.
The Thunder junior A lacrosse team fell 11-10 to the New Westminster Junior Salmonbellies on May 28 at Queen’s Park Arena.
The ’Bellies raced out to a 6-2 lead after one period and held a 9-6 advantage after two periods.
The Thunder scored twice in the final minute — including Adam Will’s third goal of the game — but came up short in losing their second game of the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League.
The loss dropped the team to 5-2-0.
Will had one assist to go along with his three goals while Reegan Comeault potted two goals and three assists.
Johnny Pearson notched a pair of goals and one helper and Brandon Bull and James Rahe each had one goal, one assist.
Nathan Henare had the other Thunder goal and Sean Lundstrom set up four goals.
Spencer England made 27 saves in the loss.
Langley will look to return to the win column when they face the Delta Islanders on June 1 at the Ladner Arena.
