Royal Colwood member Keaton Gudz finished in a tie for 19th spot at 2-over par 290 at the B.C. Golf Association junior boys championship at the Osoyoos Golf Club.
Gudz, who topped West Shore golfers playing the event, closed with a 4-over round of 76 on Friday. He opened with a 73, then posted a pair of sub-par rounds of 71 and 70 to sit tied for 13th after three rounds.
Highland Pacific member Kyle Leiman finished one stroke back of Gudz in a three-way tie for 22nd at 291, having shot 74-70-74-73.
Jake Scarrow from Surrey’s Northview Club captured the title with a 13-under total of 275, having shot a tournament best 63 on Thursday.
Other golfers from West Shore clubs included Simon Hassel of Royal Colwood (tie 59th, 304), Bryce Krakowec-Tickner from Olympic View (65th, 305). Missing the second round cut were Colwood’s Dylan Green and Tyson Girardet.
