Kaslo’s Andrea Hand finished fourth in her first trip to the STIHL Timbersports Canadian Championship last month.
Hand competed in the pro women’s division in Wasaga Beach, Ont., on July 19 to 22. She earned a berth in the nationals after finishing first in the regional qualifiers, and was one of just three women from Western Canada at the championships.
The 33 year old is a regular at Kaslo’s annual logger sports competition in May, but has only been competing professionally for two years.
