The Kelowna Tommy Gun Rockets will play host to the B.C. Hockey provincial bantam tier 1 championship beginning this weekend at Rutland West.
The six-team tournament faces off at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday with the host Rockets taking on North Shore Winter Club.
Also competing in the four-day tournament are Kamloops, Victoria, Prince George and Burnaby.
The opening ceremonies are set for 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Rutland West, with Kelowna and Kamloops meeting at 8 p.m.
Kelowna Rockets’ captain Madison Bowey will be on hand to drop the puck at the ceremonial opening face off.
The hosts, coached by former WHLer and ex-Westside Warrior Brady Mason, will also play Burnaby on Monday and Victoria Tuesday, with both games at 8.
The Rockets will finish up the round robin Wednesday at 2 p.m. against P.G.
The championship final is set for Wednesday at 8 p.m.
