He might look like a 53-year-old but Stan Peterec fought like a 33-year-old as he defeated 35-year-old Tracy Huber at Summer Slugfest on Saturday night.

Peterec used his legendary left leg to attack right from the start and it was too much for Huber, with Peterec taking the win after five two-minute rounds.

Earlier in the evening locals Ben Lee and Lindsay Ball won their fights while Alex Tribe fought to a draw and Hal Kreisel suffered a loss, despite looking strong.

The fight was Peterec’s first since 2000. It’s also his fifth decade of fighting, having started in the 1970s, and becoming a world champ in the 80s. In the 90s he dabbled with mixed martial arts.
