Nelson goaltender Patrick Ostermann was forced to make 52 saves as the Leafs fell 5-2 to the Fernie Ghostriders on Friday.

The Leafs were outshot 23-8 in the first period, 19-13 in the second and 15-11 in the third as they played the second of a tough three games in three nights schedule.

Tayler Sincennes, Justin Peers, Ryan Kennedy, Cole Keebler and Ryan Teslak each scored for Fernie (22-13-4), while netminder Brandon Butler made 30 saves.

Samuel Weber and Blair Andrews, with his fifth goal in five games, replied for Nelson (17-22-1).

The Leafs next face the Kimberley Dynamiters at home Saturday night.
