Offensive effort can’t be faulted for the Nelson Leafs’ sixth straight loss.
The Leafs fired 47 shots Thursday night in Castlegar only to fall 4-2 to the Rebels.
Jordan Unger and Mason Mullaney each scored for the Leafs (8-10-2), while Devin Allen made 24 saves in net.
Logan Styler, Everett Hicks, Brandon Costa and Chance Szott, with an empty-net goal, scored for the Rebels (9-8-0), who won their fourth straight game. Jason Mailhiot, meanwhile, was sensational in the Rebels net with 45 saves.
Nelson next plays the Braves in Spokane on Sunday.
