KMHA hands out awards

As the 2010/11 season comes to an end we would like to congratulate all the Kitimat Minor Hockey Association players for another great season.

As the 2010/11 season comes to an end we would like to congratulate all the Kitimat Minor Hockey Association players for another great season.

This year our annual award winners included Casey Gero (Brian Kilgore Award – the player who contributed the most to KMHA), Glen Robinson and Steve Corp received the Bill Mosher Award for the best two coaches, and Troy Cabral (Wilf Owen Award – the most sportsmanlike Midget player).

In the Bantam division three trophies were handed out: Ryley Partington (Shawn Michael Phillip Memorial Award – the best team player), Dylan Calado (Tom Connors Memorial Award – the most sportsmanlike player) and Troy Robinson (Darrel Trach Memorial Award – the best player).

Tye Cabral received the Sharp Shop Award for being the most sportsmanlike Pee Wee Player and David Leite received the B.A Quinlan Award for being the most promising first year Atom player.

And Cody Burkitt received the Brenda Lonsdale Award (the most improved Midget player).

Thank you to all our volunteers – the planning for next season is already taking place.

And make a note on the calendar – the annual general meeting is scheduled for   March 30 with several executive positions available.
