Knights under siege

Langley junior B hockey club surrenders 135 shots on goal in pair of lopsided losses

It was a tough pair of games for the Langley Knights as they were blasted by a combined score of 18-4.

The junior B hockey club lost 7-2 to the North Vancouver Wolf Pack on Nov. 26 before losing 11-2 the next night to the Ridge Meadows Flames.

The first game was at the George Preston Recreation Centre while the latter was at Maple Ridge’s Planet Ice.

The losses drop the Knights to 4-19-0-2 as they sit in last place in the PJHL’s Harold Brittain Conference.

The first game saw the Langley goal under siege for much of contest as North Vancouver had 68 shots on goals, with Cole Forbes coming through with 61 saves.

Lincoln Lane and Tristan Craighead had the Knight goals.

It was much of the same the next night as Ridge Meadows had 67 shots on goal with Forbes stopping 47 of 58 and Jesse Gillis coming in to make seven of nine saves.

Craighead had both goals.

The Knights will look to get back on track as they visit the Aldergrove Kodiaks on Dec. 2.

Langley also hosts the Mission City Outlaws on Dec. 3.
