The Kokanee Country Snowmobile Club is looking forward to the April Fool’s Day hotdog dash.
This is a fun event in which the participants park their sled at the starting line, eat a hotdog (mouth has to be completely empty for obvious safety reasons), put their helmet on, start their snowmobile and dash up the hill. The time starts when they begin eating the hotdog, and stops when they go past the last flag at the top.
It was a ton of fun last year, and the club is looking forward to many more participants this year. Come and see if you are up for winning the Golden Weiner Award, a trophy that Dean Bala currently holds from last year’s competition.
Or if you aren’t up for participating, everyone is welcome to come out and watch the dash on Powerline Hill, in the Char Creek riding area on the Kootenay Pass.
