Submitted by Team Koot-Neigh

Koot-Neigh had its local annual year end competition on Sept. 21. Eighteen athletes, four team horses and two coaches enjoyed a beautiful sunny day with family and friends supporting in the audience as well as volunteering to run the show.

Ten athletes also competed earlier this month at the national and provincial championships in June, both in Chilliwack, where many placed in the top three in their divisions.

Competitive vaulters include Julia Markin-Hellekson, Elisse Southam, Neve Hamilton, Olivia Berkeley, Julia and Selina Kromer-Anton, Rose Andrews, Magda Thayer, Aisling Cook and Korynn Weber. Two of their horses also received recognition, winning Best Provincial Canter Horse and Best National Pairs Horse.

Coaches Naomi and Korynn Weber say they couldn’t be more proud of everyone.
