The Kootenay South Youth Soccer Association (KSYSA) is teaming up with the Whitecaps FC for all levels of youth soccer this season to help local footballers reach their potential.
Whitecaps FC Academy Centres are a network of regional Whitecaps FC training hubs linked through key staff, curriculum, and standards that provide professional club training for serious, motivated players.
These Academy Centres act as official Whitecaps FC development centres, and are often in partnership with a local organization. Each Academy Centre can involve a variety of Academy and camp development programs based on the location and partnership.
“Partnering with the Whitecaps FC is a great way for the kids to develop their skill while having an opportunity to play for fun,” said KSYSA director Fred Fontaine in a release.
Together Kootenay South Youth Soccer and the Whitecaps FC will provide technical training to the youth and will be supporting and developing coaches in Rossland, Trail, Castlegar and Beaver Valley.
The KSYSA and Whitecaps FC partnership will offer Kootenay South soccer players an unmatched opportunity to develop and advance their skills.
“It is going to be just excellent for the kids,” said Whitecap FC regional Coach Brett Adams,
The agreement will run from April to the end of September.
