Matt Kreutz ran away with the Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club Junior Golf Championships with a surgical 68 on day one Wednesday.
Kreutz powered through a few nasty holes on day two to capture the overall low gross title with 143.
Matt McEachran-Law finished 11 shots behind Kreutz for second.
Eight-year-old Ryan Vest carded a 69-65-134 to claim the overall low net title.
Vest’s 83 on day two was a personal best at Spall. His 134 net total was eight shots better than runner-up Parker Wadsworth (142).
Seth Blundell carded a 80 and 71 to finish second in the low gross and Jameson Crawford’s pair of 72s earned him second in the low net.
Michael Lenoury shot 75 and 78 took third in the low gross and Dexter Wieten captured the third low net with 76 and 74.
Taylor Scott registered an 86-73 for the fourth low gross and Daniel Saunders’ 85-78 gave him the fourth low net.
n A pair of improved second rounds by two Vernon Golf and Country Club members bumped them up the leader board at the B.C. Bantam Championship at the Meadowlands Golf and Country Club in Chilliwack.
Braeden Cooper of Vernon carded 78-72, 150 for a final share of 17th place. Cooper placed eighth at the recent Maple Leaf Ford Junior Golf Tour stop at Predator Ridge with a 82 and 77.
Brandon Chai of Vernon finished a shot behind Cooper, shooting 76-75, 151.
Andrew Spalti of Vancouver’s Shaughnessy Golf Club took the Bantam title at 68-70-138, the only player to go under par.
