The Bombers are B.C. champions for the second time in three years.
L.V. Rogers’ boys rugby team rallied from a 12-point deficit to stun R.A. McMath 26-24 in the championship final at the AA Tier 2 high school provincials last weekend in Abbotsford.
Cian Wilson-Valdez was named to the Commissioners XV lineup, while his brother Relmu, Jake Doss, Sebastian Bodine, and Emerald Lockheart were also difference makers.
The title is LVR’s second in the last three years.
The Bombers entered play as the top seed and competed like one. They edged fifth-ranked Sutherland 25-21 and crushed fourth-seeded Brookswood 48-5 to book a spot in the final before overcoming R.A. McMath.
