There were 16 golfers out for Ladies Night on Aug. 30 and 13 stayed for dinner. The weather cooperated and it turned out to be a great night for golf.
The game was stroke play, but each group had a little competition called “Bingo (first on the green), Bango (closest to the pin), Bongo (first ball into the cup).” Each player got a point for each time they were first or closest on their putts.
The winners are: flight one—Carol Hindle had BBB (11 points), low net, long drive in two and long putt; Deanna Pendergast had low gross.
Flight two—Sheila Colter had BBB (11 points); Jane Olson had long putt and low net; Madeline Klassen had long drive in two and Darcy from Mackenzie had low gross.
Flight three—Corrie C. had BBB (12 points); Abbey Bates had long drive in two and low gross; Hazel Wadlegger had long putt. Madeline K and Jane O. tied with least number of putts. Karen Cassie had the longest putt (203″).
Joan Slingsby and Abbey B. were the Middle Sisters. Carol H. had a ‘Sandy’ Birdie on hole four. Deanna P. got her ball wet so received a replacement. There were no chip ins and the pot continues to grow.
The door prize winner was Darcy who chose the golf balls and mug from BCMI. Corrie C. won the special draw of the gift certificate from The Painted Turtle.
