This weekend, May 28-29, will see 10 of the top ladies fastball teams in Western Canada battle it out for first-place prize money in Finlayson Park.
Teams from Edmonton, Calgary, Kelowna, Cawston, Chilliwack, Surrey and Vancouver start play at 9 a.m. on Saturday, and games are scheduled for every two hours after that.
The single knockout playoff round starts at 8 on Sunday morning, with the final game scheduled for 2 p.m. on Diamond #3.
Come out and watch some great fastball –there is no charge to watch and the Eagle Valley 4-H club will be running the concession.
The Kelowna Heat team features recent softball college scholarship recipient Gina Selfe from Sicamous.
Gina and the Heat play at 9 and 11 and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Exhibition series
The Sicamous Angels U18B team will be playing a series of exhibition games on the weekend against the Kamloops U18B team and the White Rock Renegades 02 team.
The Renegades is currently the top-ranked Peewee team in B.C., one of the top teams in Canada, and feature Sicamous pitcher Madison Dewitt.
The exhibition games will be held on Diamond #1 in Finlayson Park starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 28.

• 9 a.m., White Rock Renegades 02 vs Kamloops;
• 11 a.m., White Rock vs Sicamous Angels;
• 1 p.m., Sicamous Angels vs Kamloops;
• 3 p.m., White Rock vs Kamloops.

• 10 a.m., White Rock vs Sicamous Angels.
