Ladies night golfers score clear weather

Weather conditions less than perfect for South Cariboo golfers

Forty women turned out for Ladies Night at the Marmot Ridge Golf Course on June 8 and finally enjoyed a game without rain.

Kim Torgerson captured the long drive, and the short drive was claimed by long-ball hitter Linda Hames.

Kathy Reid snared both closest to the ribbon and closest to the hula-hoop.

Closest to the pin (KP) first shot was won by Lynda Lewis, with KP third shot nabbed by Deanna Oenema.

Long-putt winners were Dot Verboom and Karen Blaine.

The format was high and low score for total putts, with high score going to Gisela Janzen.

Low score went to Val Nickless with 12 putts. The $20 birdie prize was won by Louise Mayes.

Both the hidden hole for $100 and big putt for $148 were carry-overs.
