A beautiful August evening – time spent with good friends – delicious dinner on the patio! I couldn’t ask for more. Well, I could ask for a better golf game but I don’t think I am going to get it so I will just be happy with the enjoyable outing.
Flight winners were Donna Salle (Flight #1 low gross) with a score of 42; Trudy Scarlett (Flight #1 low net) with a score of 49; Susan Newberry (Flight #2 low gross) with a score of 51; Cori Walker (Flight #2 low net) with a score of 54 and Cathy Chornlesky (Flight #3) with a score of 56. It was a big night for Cathy as she took home a number of other prizes including Country Store Antique prize for long putt on Hole #3, River Adventure Co. prize for KP on Hole #4, and Val-Bella Studio prize for long drive in 2 on Hole #5. Donna Salle was also a multiple winner picking up the Stamer Logging prize for KP on Hole #4 and taking up the Deuce pot which has been building for four weeks. The birdie pot was split three ways – always challenging my mathematical abilities – by Debbie Rainer, Lorretta Gammel and Susan Newberry.
Debbie Rainer picked up two other prizes – the Station House Restaurant prize for KP in 3 on Hole #1 and the Star/Journal prize for long drive in 2 on Hole #5. Lorretta Gammel won the Carman and Barb Smith prize for KP on Hole #6 and Carl’s Market Garden prize for using the least number of putts. Carol Hindle’s driver was working well as she won the Barriere Irly Centre certificate for long drive on Hole #1 and the Rainer Custom Cutting certificate for long drive in 2 on Hole #5. Freda Saunders had a KP in 2 on Hole #7 to win the Estylo Hair Design certificate and a long putt on Hole #9 to win the Barriere A & W prize. Deb Winiski had a long putt on Hole #2 to win the Jul’re by Lynda prize and Betty Baillie had a long drive on Hole #3 to win the Barriere Massage certificate. Sara Watt had a KP on Hole #6 to win the Ron Wallace Trucking. Longs putts won the AG Food prize for Deb Legaree, the Bodi Mekanix prize for Karen Peterson and the Knights Inn prize for Betty Foote. Sue Paulus had a little difficulty with her putter but will get lunch courtesy of Barr K Treats to ease the pain.
I’m thinking PINK this week and looking forward to the Fundraiser for Cancer Research on Aug. 30. We are expecting a good turnout and I look forward to seeing you all there.
