The Valley Royals track and field club hosts its 10th annual Lafarge High Performance meet on Wednesday evening at the Swan Track in Rotary Stadium.
The event, as it always does, has drawn a diverse international field with athletes attending from the United States, Trinidad and Jamaica as well as Canada.
Although the field was yet to be finalized as of press deadline, entries confirmed included Calgary’s Adrienne Power in the women’s 100-metre dash, and April Panteau of Trindad and Leslie Cole of the U.S. who will run the women’s 400m.
American Lawrence Trice, with a best time for the distance of 10.33 in the 100m, will be one of the favorites in that event.
