Lake City bows to the Legends in U11 girls basketball

Faith Henrichson led the Lake City Club Basketball  U11 team with 16 points in a narrow 30-28 loss to the Kelowna Legends on May 27 in Kelowna. Lake City coach Laurie Hudson said her team had a slow start but showed improvement in the second half, especially defensively.

“The other team had a harder time getting inside to shoot,” said Hudson. “Our center, Faith Henrichsen, had her best game of the season picking up 16 points on rebounds under the hoop. Alyssa Mullin made many successful steals, and Sophia Toneatto is to be congratulated on her consistent strong effort on offence and defence.”

Kayci Loewen and Mullin each chipped in four points.
