Laker nets 14 points at UBC-O all-star game

UBC-O hosted its high school basketball all-star game with the best junior and senior players

Ten basketball players from Penticton and Summerland played in the University of British Columbia-Okanagan High School Basketball All-Star Game over the weekend.

In junior girls action, Pen High Laker Celine Francisco chipped in six points to help Team Light defeat Dark 62-58. Francisco played against teammate Jollee Perrier, who collected five points.

In senior girls action, Laker Natasha Reimer led the Dark team to a 67-62 win over Light with a 14-point performance. Laker teammate Tessa Lannon-Paakspuu had two points. The Light team had Mustangs Danielle Ruocco, who scored nine points and Megan Admussen-Blair.

In junior boys action, Laker Jakob Stokker chipped in six points for the Light team in a 70-57 loss to Dark.

In senior boys, Mustangs Kohl Linder scored nine points, while Paul Garcha dropped seven to push team Dark to a 88-81 win over Light. Abishek Lekhi of the Summerland Rockets scored two for the Dark team.
