Three local junior air pistol shooters will be targeting Canada Winter Games gold next month.
Brian Ng, Jessica Auton, and Brooke Ashcroft from the Langley Rod and Gun Club will represent B.C. at the Games in Prince George in February.
The fourth member of the team is Dakota O’Donovan from Merritt.
From Feb. 13 to March 1, Prince George and Northern B.C. will welcome 2,400 athletes from 800 communities, 1,000 coaches and officials, up to 4,500 volunteers, hundreds of media, and thousands of visitors to the Games.
This event will be the largest multi-sport and cultural event to ever be held in Prince George and northern British Columbia and is forecasted to generate an economic impact of more than $90 million.
Prince George is the first city in B.C. to host a winter edition of the Canada Games.
