Langley United’s Graham Kasper joined with fellow clubmate Joel Waterman to play on Team BC at the Canada Games held recently in Sherbrooke Quebec.
Kasper was captain of an outstanding B.C. team that went to the final under coach Martin Nash before losing 2-0 to the defending champion Quebec in the gold medal game, to win silver.
In other action, Graham’s younger brother John was selected to the Team Canada U15 team that went to Mexico City to play in an international tournament in early August. Team Canada did not qualify out of the group stage (as did host Mexico) but acquitted themselves well in their matches, winning one game and scoring three goals in three games. The squad will also compete in the AGS Cup in Alicante, Spain in September.
John Kasper plays out of the Whitecaps youth academy, Waterman played for Surrey United premier team and Graham Kasper played for Coquitlam Metro Ford premier team this past season.
