Two tournaments and two podium finishes, including a gold medal, for the Mountain Eagles.
The junior girls basketball team finished third at a tournment in Pitt Meadows at the start of the month and then topped that with a first-place finish over the weekend in Maple Ridge.
And the gold-medal final wasn’t even close as the Eagles hammered Heritage Park by a lopsided 50-15 score.
Anna Amate scored 20 points to pace Mountain the victory.
In the team’s other games, they edged the host Maple Ridge Ramblers 41-37 in the opening game before defeating Vedder 47-29 in the semifinals. Jennifer Sjothun had 18 points and Setare Maleki had 11 points in that victory.
Sjothun and Shannon Kao each earned all-star awards at the Pitt Meadows tournament.
Mountain is also one of four teams off to a 2-0 start in the Langley district league.
League play resumes from the holiday break on Jan. 9.
