The Nelson Leafs have traded away forward Ryan Keilty in an effort to free up roster space ahead of future moves.
Keilty was sent to the Kimberley Dynamiters last week in exchange for a player development fee. General manager Lance Morey said the move also allows the Leafs to have more flexibility prior to the January 10 trade deadline.
Keilty, a 19-year-old rookie, had four goals and one assist in 23 appearances with the Leafs this season.
