The North Okanagan Super 8 Legends finished their Thompson Okanagan Midget B2 Lacrosse League season with a pair of playoff losses Saturday in Merritt.
The Legends played the host Nicola Valley Thunder in the opening game of the three-team event at Shulus Arena, and opened the scoring in the first period on a marker by Chase Bronson.
It was the only goal the Legends would score in a 7-1 setback.
Down to 11 runners, and with only a 90-minute break, North Okanagan had to play back-to-back games, facing Shuswap Outlaws of Salmon Arm.
The Outlaws led 4-0 after one period and the Legends – who never quit in either contest – simply ran out of gas in the mid-day Merritt heat, falling 9-2.
Dakota Campen and James Francis scored for North Okanagan, who, like they had been all season, were kept in the games by the outstanding play of goalie Jordie Scherck.
The Legends thanked coaches Travis Mann, Harold Mann, Jim Point and Kent Connors, and manager Madeline Work, for their efforts all season as the team enjoyed snacks in between games.
