Seaquam Seahawks running back selected to Team BC for international tournament

Seaquam Seahawks running back Mark Lego has been selected by Football BC to compete at the FBU International Games in San Antonio, Texas later this month.

Lego, a Grade 12 student, was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player in the Southern Conference of the B.C. High School Football Association’s Senior AA league.

In 10 games this past season, he ran for 2,475 yards on 229 attempts, scoring 25 touchdowns. He averaged just shy of 11 yard per carry, and 247.5 yards per game.

Lego is one of four running backs on Team BC, which will represent the province at the international tournament in San Antonio Dec. 30 to Jan. 6.

Team BC will open their FBU International Games schedule on Thursday, Jan. 3 against Team Europe at Heroes Stadium. Their second game will be against Team USA two days later in the Alamodome.
