It’s time for some summer fun and Imagination Park provides the perfect opportunity for kids ages 6 – 12 to play games, make crafts, tour around the community and swim.
Imagination Park runs through the Quesnel Arts and Recreation Centre Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with special event Fridays.
The program begins June 30 and ends Aug. 28.
In addition to the regular times of Imagination Park, there is “Morning Mayhem” starting at 8 a.m. as well as “Sun Fun Survivor” at 3:30 – 5 p.m.
It’s never a dull moment at the Imagination Park with a new theme starting each week, with different crafts, games and activities designed by the leaders for each theme.
The program offers a wide range of theme weeks such as August Christmas, Sports for All Sorts, I am Canadian, and many more.
Each theme week ends with a special event Friday that is sure to please any child. These Friday events range from a Kid’s Carnival, Moose Meadows, Yorston Farms, Wacky Waterslides, and the Rec. Centre Sleep Over.
Dedicated leaders Ava Keis, Brianna Gooselin-Percey, Lisa Vaughan, and Brandi Mack are eager to provide a safe, friendly environment for the children to make friends while enjoying various crafts, games and activities.
“I really enjoy going home every day knowing we made a difference to each child’s summer and having them leave the program with a smile,” said Mack.
Children can be signed up for the entire summer as well as for individual weeks or events.
Registration for a summer of fun can be done at the Arts and Recreation Centre’s front desk.
