Liquid Lightning Swim Club came away from the recent Kelowna AquaJets Fall Classic at H2O with two club records and 196 best times.
Bryce Molder, 16, swam to all best times and set a club record in the 100 metre butterfly with a 1:04.38, good for second place. Molder won the 200 fly.
Craig Mathieson, 16, set a club record in the 200-m. individual medley with a 2:19.54 to place second. Mathieson won the 100 IM, 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke while coming second in the 100 backstroke.
Alex Diaz, 17, swam to a personal best 56.29 to win the 100 free. He also won the 400 free.
Gabriella Hanvold, 15, swam to six best times and won the 200 fly with a new Age Group National qualifying time of 2:31.48. Hanvold also won the 100 fly, 100 free, and came second in the 200 free, 100 back, 200 IM and 100 breast.
Chantelle Douglas, 15, placed second in the girls 14 and 15 100 fly.
Kyra McNulty, 14, won the 100 back.
In the boys 11 and under division, Pierson Piche, 10, swam all best times including taking 18 seconds off his 200 fly for a new AAA qualifying time. Piche swam to second place in the 100 IM.
Lincoln Hoel, 11, out touched the rest in the 100 IM, and swam to second in the 100 fly, 50 free and 100 breast.
Marc Toyata, 13, won the boys 12 and 13 year old division 50 free and 100 free and finished second in the 200 free and 100 fly.
Quin Toyata, 13, earned all best times and won the 100 IM and came second in the 100 breast.
Brock Hoel, 13, swam all personal bests and won the 200 free, 1500 free, 100 back, 200 IM and 400 free and came second in the 100 free.
In the girls 16 and over division, Bree Cooper, 17, won the 100 IM, 100 fly, 200 fly and 400 free.
Christina Russo, 19, won the 100 back and the 100 free and placed second in the 100 IM, 50 free and 200 IM.
Alex Strobel, 11, took over 17 seconds off her 400 free to come second with a 3:07.25. Strobel also swam to silver in the 200 free and the 200 IM.
Taylor Smith, 11, took 17 seconds off her best time to win her 200 IM. She took 29 seconds off her 200 free and swam a 1:22.10 in the 100 back for a new AAA time, good for second. Smith also swam to second place in the 100 IM, 100 breast and the 100 free.
Several swimmers earned 100 per cent best times including Cassidy Lawrence who took 11 seconds off her 100 IM; Cam McConechy who took 23 seconds off his 400 free; Georgia Pengilly who swam to all A times and took 11 seconds off her 200 IM; Paighton Senger, who took 22 seconds of her 100 breast; Ava Toyata who erased 13 seconds off her 200 free as well as Sydney MacFarlane, Delaney Douglas, Janae Hoel and Ryan Scott.
Other notable swims went to Victoria Koehle, 11, who took 23 seconds off her 100 back and 18 seconds off her 100 breast; Enrica Guidi, 10, who improved her 100 IM by over 32 seconds; Sara Roggeveen, who lopped 11 seconds off her 400 free, and Rowan Salverda, who erased 25 seconds off her 200 IM.
Kaitlyn McConechy, Jacklyn Pengilly, Madison Poole, Hallie Jenkins, Diana Trif, Samantha Pringle, Christina Wright and Megan Allan also recorded personal bests.
At the jamboree for swimmers who have not yet completed their 200 IM in under four minutes, Paige Allan, 10, swam all best times and won the 200 IM with a 3:52.57 qualifying her for regional meets. Allan swam to second in the 50 breast and 100 free.
In his first jamboree Bryson Donison, 12, won the 100 IM and the 50 breast.
Jayden Fierback, 8, swam all best times and came second in the 200 IM, 50 back and 100 free. His sister, Jenae, 8, swam to all best times and won the 200 IM and the 50 breast and came second in the 100 free.
Her brother, Joel, 5, swam all best times.
Alexander Hurd, 9 swam all best times and came second in the 50 free with a 56.45.
Emma McKenzie, 10, swam 100 per cent best times and won the 100 free and came second in the 200 IM Elissa Jenkins, 9, swam 100 per cent best times, including taking almost 45 seconds off her 200 IM.
Maura Guidi swam all best times.
This was the Livia Utigard’s first jamboree.
