Eleven bowlers from Golden recently competed in a tournament in Vernon. The ladies team consisting of Margot McKay, Dodie Hodgins, Joanne Landry, Lynda Gondek, Janet McKay, and Krista Sanders took first place in the ladies division. Both the Mens and Mixed team put up good numbers but came a bit short in bringing home hardware as well. The three teams combined to place 2nd overall in the aggregate division.
Margot McKay also received special honours for her ladies high single for the tournament.
